Good morning everyone and happy new year,

I have two lines that communicate via IO-Device, both for "normal" data and for safety data.

Everything worked fine for several months, then this error appeared on the PLC IO-Device while on the PLC controller no alarm.

It seems that there is a "hole" in the communication between the two PLCs.

Could it be a hardware problem? ETH cable, faulty PLC...

Do you have any advice on what to check?

PLC controller: 1515F-2 PN

PLC IO-Device: 1517TF-3 PN/DP

 Seems that your PLC is loosing communication to many VFD's that have Profisafe comms defined. Quite often in situations like this the Profinet communication has failed. Is there any of the devices that have failed, on a wireless communication or something similar? If they are connected with network cables, are the cables industrial graded cables?
