Hello all, 

I have a requirement to output a DMX512 signal from an S7-1200 PLC. I have a CM1241 module for the PLC but it cannot output the required BAUD rate for DMX512 (it is 250k). 

I have bought (waiting for delivery) an RS485 to DMX512 converter and I am hoping this will work. 

Has anyone else come across a need for this and what was their solution?

Hi,

if this topic is still relevant... most likely its not possible with the CM1241 itself.

You could connect a distributed ET200SP station via PN and use the ET200SP CM PtP module for that.

How can you configure a communication module CM PtP to create a DMX512 connection (Digital Multiplex)?
