Hello,

On a S7-1200 PLC and TIA v16, I'm trying to send sensor values through MQTT to broker.

All values in the plc are REAL datatype and are positive numbers (with this format 12.34)

The problem is that the LMQTT Block requires an array of bytes to transmit the message for publishing a message.

In some tutorial videos i saw LMQTT blocks that i assume were older versions in which you could easily publish STRING type datas, so even if i can find the old version somehow, i think the problem will be solved by using a VAL_STRG block.

I'm new to MQTT and i'd really appreciate if you can help me or tell me if there are other ways to do the job.

I have same issue it's nice they provide a sample program but it would be nice to show how you actually transfer something useful instead of default values in an array.

Where is it going wrong? Are you getting the error message in Tia portal on the LMQTT client or somewhere else?
