I recommend you follow section 1.2 of the post we are talking about. I personally think it is simpler, plus you have a pdf that is of great help explaining the few steps to follow.

If you still try and don't succeed, I recommend you share the mistakes you get to see what may be happening.

A few days ago the HMI Panel Image Updater (PIU) V2.0 was released. It is available in the Image Download entry. Due to it's changed login procedure the login problems should be solved now.
