Hello Folks,

Can anyone please help me to understand the case that I have faced today,

I have a S7 CPU 1215FC DC/DC/DC which is already having a program with TIA V16 and this is offering me 150KB of WORK MEMORY, But while going through the TIA V19 I discovered that the same CPU is offering me a WORK MEMORY of 250KB. As the existing program has already exceeded the maximum limit of work memory with all updated (103%) I tried to convert the Program into V19 as a result I have 250KB of memory as work memory, but while downloading the program to the PLC the device went to error mode as saying that "The work memory is insufficient to load the program".

So please help me understanding this, Is really possible that work memory varies while writing the program in different versions of TIA PORTAL?

is it possible to utilize the extended space in higher version of TIA PORTAL?

if yes why did the PLC went to error even if it was compiled successfully?

Hello,

Reason for more Work memory is the Firmware version.

As of FW v4.6 there is more Work memory, see the following link:

Firmware V4.6 for S7-1200 available

If you want more Work memory, please update the firmware.
