I have a similar error when Selecting IO in PCS7 (V9.1) simatic manager (Process object view, right click on project, process objects, Select I/O). This seems to be a system related issue on my engineering station, rather than an application related issue. In my case I'm running Simatic Manager on a VM with 16 GB of RAM (My host had 32GB RAM) and I monitored my memory usage, on  Windows Task Manger, just before the error and it was well below 16 GB (2.8GB). Both the host and VM has enough spare memory and storage. I checked this multiple times.

Here is the solutions I tried:

1. Go to This PC on windows file explorer,
2. Right Click => Properties.
3. Click on "Advance System Settings".
4. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
5. Under "Performance" click on "Settings".
6. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
7. Under Virtual memory, click change.
8. Uncheck the box: "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
9. Select custom size.
10. Enter a value much bigger than the recommended value, but smaller than the Space available value. In my case I made it Initial size: 16GB and Maximum size: 32GB.
11. Click on "Set" and "OK"
12. Restart Windows

This solution seemed to decrease the chance of an out of Memory error, but it still came put sometimes.

Here is the second solution I tried:

1. In Run Regedit
2. go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems”
3. On Windows Right Click => Modify  
4. Go to the SharedSection entry. Change the last value for the entry form 768 to 1024.
5. Restart your PC.

Neither one of these solutions seems to completely get rid of these errors.

Does anyone have advice on how to get rid off out of memory errors?

The version of the Dynwiz.cwd file in the WScripts folder of your WinCC project is too old.

you can manually copy the newer files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\Wincc\WScripts into your WinCC project WScripts folder.
