Considering that on the CPU 1517-3 PN user manual is written:

"STEP 7 TIA Portal configurable/integrated from version V20 (FW V4.0)"

I am wondering if I can configure the hardware and program this CPU using TIA V18 professional (or TIA V19, in case). By default I can't find the 6ES7517-3AQ10-0AB0 in the TIA V18 catalogue.

the new CPUs can only be configured in TIA Portal V20.

The new CPUs can be configured in STEP 7 version V20 or higher.

Configuration with older software versions: Because the new 1517(F)-3 PN and 1518(F)-3 PN CPUs are not compatible with the previous versions with respect to spare parts, they cannot be configured and programmed with older STEP 7 versions. STEP 7 version V20 is required for this purpose.
