WinCC RT Disconnected

rai Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Guys, Good day! I'm having a problem with my runtime. First, this is what happens. WinCC runtime is working perfectly in 3 stand-alone PC's. After over a year, 2 of the stand-alone PCs suddenly stopped/disconnected from the PLC. (showing yellow triangle with exlamation point '!'; happens when SCADA is disconnected). And the remaining PC is working fine. The report was the license was "defective" upon checking with license manager. Next action is to replace the license, but after that, it is still disconnected. I tried everything, restart the system, check status driver, set pg/pc, system parameter and even simatic shell. but still disconnected. My last option is to reinstall WinCC, but before that, I want to check other solutions regarding this matter. Hoping for support from you guys. Thanks, Rai

rai Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	i have tcp/ip connection and modbus connection as well. the only ation taken was replace the defective license and after it doesn't work anymore. and it is also installed with redundancy (forgot to mention, sorry). I can ping thru tcp/ip the ip addresses of each workstations and the PLCs. thanks

Madhava Silver Member Joined: 11/26/2011 Last visit: 4/11/2025 Posts: 508 Rating: (23)	Hi, Check the system parameter and selection of network adapter is proper or not. And further you can see the channel diagnostics under Simatic-->Wincc-->Tools. Check it and post the errors you were recieving.

rai Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	hi. i already checked all the possibilities. i don't received any errors but runtime shows that it is still disconnected. i was thinking of trying to reinstall wincc. but i think it will still show the same problem... thanks

But I know you checked all simple things, Even have a look on simple mistakes like logical name on system parameter, IP address conflict.... Then reinstall wincc. Hope your problem will get solved.

If you need help it would be nice if you give us some information about your system (Which PLC and FW; Which WinCC Version ? which kind fo communication, Do you get any error mesages?, information from logfiles or channel diagnosis) Also describe your issue with more details. Thank you Murof
