The library available for download supports you in configuring and visualizing the components. The "LPM1207" library provides function blocks (FBs) and faceplates (FPs) for the SIMATIC PM 1207. The function blocks are used to read the device data from the power supply. You can use the screen modules to display the device data clearly on an HMI operating device. The pre-assembled function blocks (FBs) save you time and money during engineering. In addition, you do not need to worry about the serial communication of the SIMATIC PM 1207 with your controller. The "COM" diagnostic interface of the PM 1207 provides a signal that sends the following device data as Manchester code:
The signal from the "COM" diagnostic interface is read in and evaluated by the S7-1200 G2 CPU via a digital input. The aforementioned device data is stored in the S7-1200 G2 CPU in a fixed pre-assigned data structure (PLC data type). The HMI device accesses this preset data structure via PROFINET in order to display the device data.
