Increase RAM size

gururaj Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using old version of Simatic field PG (6ES7710-1CA10-0BB0) - X86 family 6 model 8 with windows 2K installed. The system is very slow as only 128 MB RAM is installed ( Ref: SO-DIMM, 128 MB Sync, 100 Mhz)...which isSD RAM. There is onememory free slot available in the PG. I would like to knowabout maximum capacity of RAM I can install on spare slot.. Should I go for different combinations? (128MB + 256MB / 512MB) ? Please advice Regards, Gururaj

In your case you can buy another 256MB memory and add to existing 128MB. Or buy two 256MB and replace old one with both. For me everything depends from "wallet". If you can buy 2 modules 256MB it's better. But also if you buy only one 256Mb, you can add to the old one without any problem. Regards, Hristo Mihalev
