New til Simens S7-1200 I am trying to have a 4 bit input (a program selector with bcd output) converted to a program number that i can use as an input to tell the program number that has been selected. I can do it as a bit by bit programming Eksampel: If bit 1 and bit 2 and bit4 then program =11 (this done in ladder). But this uses 16 "lines". if it had been a 8 bit input it had been 256 lines !!!!. What I am trying is something like.. Take the number of bits (4 or 8 or ??) Move it from the input, convert it to a decimal number, use this number to program selction.... How is this done in ladder ? Hope that i have explained it correct.. Best regards Claus Lind
