Can someone help me ID a product?

iwhitey Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm new here and have a background in automation. I am by no means a Siemens specialist, but I can usually ID what a product is and what it's used for. This one has me stumped. We are cleaning out our warehouse and came across the piece of equipment shown in the attachment. No one can ID it and I hate to just toss it. My company has a tendency to throw things away and then find out six months or later that they needed what we tossed. The numbers on the unit on top of the motor are: 3MOT S1 100% Type 2CW2250 Iso. KI.F IP 55 The motor numbers are: 3MOT 1LA7130-4AA11-2 132S Nr.E L8969474 01005 IMB5 IP55Th. C1.F That stuff I could probably figure out, given enough time, but I have no idea what the rest of this thing is used for. Anybody know? Thanks. Attachment IMG_8466.JPG (862 Downloads)

thijsee Posts: 35 Rating: (1)	I searched on internet and found: http://www.relkocz.com/dt/siemens/external-fan-pulse-generator-including-mounting-parts/2cw2250-8rf54-2ab2.html So it could be an external fan (forced ventilation) and/or a pulse-generator, but you are missing some data on the motor-/machine-plate. Sometimes a DC-plate-brake is built in on top of the motor. On the photo I see a stainless steel object BESIDE the motor, I suppose you don't mean this?
