Minimum load current ? when selecting a DO board

ruca Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi !! I am selecting a I/O module and I dont understand the meaning of the following parameter: Minimum Load current ? For example for SM 322 DO 16 x Rel AC 120/230 V es 10 mA. What kind of problems I will have in the future if I will conmutate a load that only consume 5 mA ? Thanks a lot !!

GJohn Posts: 112 Rating: (10)	PLC Outputs often have a filter around therelaycontact to reduce arcing/increase contact life. The problem with this is leakage current, if you have a very small load it can sometimes stay energised with the leakage current even though the PLC output is "off".
