Hello Experts,
On one of EOT crane, 20KW slipring induction motor is used for hoist operation. Its rated current is is 48A. 3VU16 series 36-52 A MPCB is used for over current protection. But this MPCB failes in duration of 6 months. The motor no load current is 20A where as on load max current drawn is 42 A. Current set on MPCB is 45 A.
I am unable to understand the reason of failuer of MPCB when current values are nominal i.e. within permissible limit.
Can any one help?
