s5 470 Output analog module problem?

The program will access the different channels of the module based on the dipswitch settings. Compare the dipswitches at the top of the module, at the back, near the backplane connector, to the settings of the one you replaced. You might want to read the technical data on this analog output module; it is part of the S5-135U System manual, found here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1085837 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Tom_Li Posts: 72 Rating: (0)	Hello Dchartier, Thank you for you advice. The problem is that: the custmer has checked the 4channels. (470),he found that there is onc channel didnot output signal yesterday but run today. Also, another channel keep one value all the time no matter how he change setting speed in HMI,but the motor change speed. Now, the machine can not run and the CPU did't alarm. Another question is, Inthe MP40, there is oneinputfield always show zero valve which form theactual speedfrom the motor speed machine. So change the correct address for the module is needed. Still, What software can I need to configue the MP40?? I dont know it before. Waiting for your answers.

An MP40 was a monitor panel that was connected to a VP-B30 module directly on the PLC backplane; he P-B30 read and wrote to the CPU through the back[plane, and the software used to configure the MP40 was the old Coros LSB. This is the last little bit of information that ios available on these modules on the Siemens support site; they date from over 10 years now. https://support.automation.siemens.com/AU/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=10805045&subtype=133000&caller=view https://support.automation.siemens.com/AU/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=10805045&subtype=133000&caller=view However, I am not sure you should think about charging into the MP40 programming right away. It might just be that the value stays at zero because the program actually reads zero in the address it is connected to. And the setpoint might not change because it is not written in the correct register. Are you absolutely sure at this point that the 470 module is addressed correctly, and that no other module or IM card has been setup recently that could affect the program? Can you use Step 5 to monitor the raddresses that are causing the problems? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Yes, when I use STEP5 to monidtor address ,found that one signal was wrong from the Tachometer cables. They 've connected wrong when they replace a new one butthey don't told that before. I've paidmore attention to our CPU928 and the I/O modules and look for fault addresswith the programme. That'shuge onedesign by FrenchoneprintingCo. That's OK. :) Thank you very much but still the MP40 and OP20 is the short ofdocuments about them when maybe next time we meet .hehe.That 's too old of Siemens product.
