can you tell us which Current do you want to measure AC or DC.
Do you have direct clamps to use a measure resistor or do you want to measure the current on a cable?

For measuring the RPM, please describe your application a little bit more - what for a Fan (e.g. a small like for a computer or a Fan with a motor of 100 kW...), what for sensors do you can connect at this fan, is this a DC- or a AC-motor?

My application is testing HVAC units in manufacturing. I am trying to automate the testing process, what I mean by automating it is that the testing operator has to hook up the amp clamps on cables and let the PLC capture these readings on each amp clamp. it is AC current.

same thing for the RPM, I am testing fan motor RPM for the HVAC unit. our HVAC units have EC motors, they take AC voltage to run, but we apply some small DC voltage through the unit controller to adjust the speed based on our needs. we measure the RPM using strobe light now. I wonder if a strobe could be connected to the PLC and what module. so all I need is to measure the fan motor speed without having reflective tape testing instrument.

Not any of cheap  schneider device that can measure current and voltage and plus they got analog out 4-20 mA can help u? Must be measured direct by PLC? 

 thank you for your response. what devices do you mean? and yes I want it to be directly measured form the PLC using leads. but if those leads have to go into some device in the middle it is fine also. 

Can you please suggest me what devices could work ? as far as I understood from you response is that analog module can be used after we convert the the actual volts, amps and RPM.

for converting I should use like transducer ? Please help me by clarifying .

With these two devicese you can measure current and get it to PLC as an 4-20mA

For speed measurement we use ordinary inductive sensor with CM on PLC side.

With this part you can measure AC and also DC-Current and don't need a resistor for current measurement. You have then a signal 4...20 mA = 0...100 A.

Why do you need the RPM, can you also measure a pressure or other signals?
