We have encountered a major issue with APT 1.7a & 1.8 that appears tied to year 2018.  Programs appear to compile with proper dates in the compile report.  However in debug, at the unit level, "Unit modified since last compile" is displayed.  SFCs are not available after the compile.  We have tested this on WinXP and Win2000 boxes and have same issue.  Problem persists with 2019 date, but goes away with year 2020 date.  APT 1.9 & 1.9a do not have this issue.

Obviously i would recommend upgrading to APT 1.9 or 1.9A

I'm beginning to think we are the only people left on planet Earth still using APT 1.7a and 1.8.

We have been reluctant to upgrade to 1.9 or 1.9a for fear the force compile may move an unmarked tag that exists in our HMI.

You have to enable themainrepository in the/etc/apt/sources.listfile.
To accomplish this remove the'#'character in front of the following lines. also causes apt-get to install/remove packages in an attempt to satisfy the build dependencies for a source package.[snip]  The command sudo apt-get build-dep packagename means to install all dependencies for 'packagename' so that I can build it". So build-dep is an apt-get command just like install, remove, update, etc. [snip] The build-dep command searches the local repositories in the system and install the build dependencies for package. If the package does not exists in the local repository it will return an error code. [snip]
