i have pack 3ZS2812-5CC20-0AY0 (SENTRON powermanager V3.6 +1 PAC4200+1 PAC3100)

in exsisting installation i  have 5 PM5100 from shneider electric with rs484 port.

can'i config the other PM5100 as slave with pac4200 as master ?

I interpret the statements (from the PAC 4200 brochure)

"With communication, the SENTRON PAC4200 transmits measured values to the supervisory systems"
and
"The PAC4200 can also serve two masters via the TCP connection . . ."

to mean that two supervisory systems running as Modbus/TCP clients (masters) can access data from a PAC4200 server/(slave), not that the PAC4200 possesses Modbus master/client functionality itself.

Modbus RTU (slave functionality) over RS-485 appears to be an option.

It appears that the optional "gateway" function provides Modbus RTU slave functionality, since it does not mention client/master functionality.

Your mileage may differ with better documentation.
