Dear experts,

I am having Converter CU250S-2PN, Power Unit PM240-2, Simotics low voltage motor of order number 1LE1003-0DB22-2AB4-Z, and 12-pin M23 connector. I want to control the motor with the converter, but I'm not sure how to connect the motor to the converter with the M23 connector. Could you tell me how to connect the motor to converter?

1LE1003-0DB22-2AB4 is IM B3 mounting 0.55 KW, 1440 RPM Frame size 80M asynchronous motor. You can connect this motor power connection (terminal boz at top) to PM 240 module.

Please check or provide Z option details, so that M23 pin details/configuration can be checked & information can be provided about its interfacing with drive.

You need to use SMC 30 module to connect motor encoder connection & via Drive CLiQ SMC30 can be interface to CU250S. Please refer attached sheet for M23 HTL encoder pin connection details.

You can order 6FX5002-2AH04-1FA0 motion cable for interfacing encoder with SMC30. Please note example is of 50 mtr length (FA), you may change it depending on your requirement e.g. for 30 meter (DA).

Instead of using SMC 30 module, can I connect the motor encoder directly to the X2100 Encoder Interface on the CU250S-2PN?

Yes you can connect.

Please check the pin configuration at encoder end & at CU end & connect the connections correctly.
