Hi everybody. I have a problem that the Siemens Suport is failing to solve so now I'm looking for the help from the experts in here. 

On my Windows 10 computer I have installed ALM 6.0 SP1 (had SP2 but Siemens requested a downgrade to SP1).

I bought some softwares with OSD / software download. I can login and download the license certificate and I can also download the software.

I can see the software license, but when I try to Drag'N Drop from the "Web License Key Dowload" to my disk, nothing happens. Also if I hover above the license, nothing happens, it should come a informative tool tip.

I also try to transfer the test licens in the "Help -> System Test" but it's behaving just the same.

I have both IE11 and Chrome Version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit) installed on my computer. 

I have reinstalled the ALM twice and checked that all files in the folder "“C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation License Manager” were deleted as well as the folder it self.

I also unchecked the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk".

I have exactly the same behaviour today.

Unable to drag the "tranfer licence" tag.

I tried with Administrator privileges without any effect.

I have got the same strange situation today.

Having also the same issue no way to drag'n drop the licenses will the ALM 6.0 SP5 is there any way out from this issue or it's a known one

Update your ALM to the lates version, v6.0 SP8.

I have installed the update with the latest version.

But it doesn't solves the problem for me. The execution with Administrator privileges doesn't help to.

I detected that it was something with the IT company restriction, because the transfer works with an older version on a not IT managed system in the same Network.

Therefore I think the issue depends on the host system not on the Software version or the Administrator privileges.

I had the same problem dragging the license Key!

I've resolved that by opening ALM with admin rights, then right-click on the license transfer "Copy Shortcut" then right-click on the desired location and paste it.

 This solved my problem! Thanks a lot!

this issue still exists. On my M6 I've ALM v6.2 SP1 installed. I can only drag but not drop the licenses. There is a red and crossed circle icon when I move the cursor. Also after I started the tool as an administrator.

The mentioned hint: copy link and paste to directory also doesn't work because there is no paste option available.

What else can I do to get the license files?

I'm having the same issue using ALM 6.2 SP2 on Windows 10. I can drag the license from the Online License Delivery to the USB drive but nothing moves.  There are no error messages.  There is no red circle with the line through it.  Here's what I've tried: 

Disable any firewall or antivirus

Verify Administrator status in UAC

Uninstall and reinstall 6.2

Uninstall 6 2 and install 6.0 – Seems to point to the wrong address for online delivery so I stopped trying there.

Checked that the box for "allow incoming connections" is checked in “settings”

Checked the Windows registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR is set to “3”

Any other ideas I'm missing?  I could ship this project if I could just get the licenses transferred. Thanks!

I've tried this as well with the same result. 

I too am wrestling with this same problem. We are using a VM with Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition.

I am dragging the licence and a black circle with a line through it appears over the C:\ and E:\ drives, basically not allowing me to drop the licence.

We have checked the usual things as described above and I have full admin privileges on the VM. I am running ALM as Admin. Our IT team have checked all the Hyper-V security settings we can think of and have checked the firewall rules to make sure everything is open that needs to be.
