Paulorossi Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I'm trying to backup the parameter from micromaster 440.I want to use an RS232 to RS 485 converter from ICP CON,type I-7520.I don't know what software I should use.I have try with STARTER software,the old vesion,I don't know exactly which version but without success. I mean how wired up all things? from drive side? from pc side? Any USB/COM converter? Regards, Devesh

Paulorossi Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have download the lates version of Starter,v4.4,but the same problem.I'm trying to connect from my laptop to micromaster with RS232-RS485 converter ICP CON,type I-7520,directly via serial port,COM1,to 29,30 pin from MM440,the error is "No connection found".I have set correctly the settings for starter(select com1,9600 baud rate,etc),also I have check the parameter from MM440, P2010,01=6 for 9600 baud rate.See the the attached file. Goooooood Paulorossi, I told you to try with P 0700 = 4 and P1000 = 4 or P 0700 = 5and P1000 = 5 (maybe you read in the moment) but then I took it off because I was not sure, do not remember well, then I remembered right, nice work

Paulorossi Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I want to control my inverter directly via potentiometer.I have find the instruction from siemens site but I have two questions: - I need a potentiometer with 4,7 k minimum scale or maximum scale or 10k ? - I want to enable the input nr 5, for enable(start/stop) and I need a external 24 vdc power source,it is possible to get 24 vdc from output terminal and go directly to input nr 5 via a switch without use an external power supply? Thanks in advance.

douglasfcx_siemens Member Joined: 9/7/2017 Last visit: 4/1/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I'm facing the same trouble right now. I'm using a USB-to-RS485 converter to comunicate with a Micromaster 440. The connection is the same of Paulorossi image: USB-to-RS485<--->MM440 A(D+)<--------------->29 B(D-)<--------------->30 I checked the COM port configuration and set the Micromaster parameters: (P0700[0]=4;P1000[0]=4;P2010[0]=6;P2010[1]=6) and (P0700[0]=5;P1000[0]=5;P2010[0]=6;P2010[1]=6)... But still with the error of no connection found in Simotion and DriveMonitor. There are others parameters or configuration to check?
