Can't run pdata.fwc file and also cant Start Simulation

Since I was using TIA16 only everything was fine, then after installed TIA17 my issue started. Actually I can simulate just panels on TIA 17. If I try to simulate PC runtime on TIA 16 and 17 or panels on TIA 16 there is no way to proceed. Tried to install again wincc TIA with no result. Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/16/2025 Posts: 16436 Rating: (1935)	Hello It looks like your V17 Simulation is damaged (and if you have installed V17 then the V17 Simulation or Runtime is used also for all older Versions). The fastest way of getting it run again is to do a Repair Installation of V17. Insert V17 DVD-> use option Repair After this run your Simulation and Runtime should work again also in the other Versions Bye Murof

I have test HMI application with my laptop. It works fine but when i copy it to PC, upon starts "generates\pdata.fwc configuration file could not be loaded" error shows. I have checked WinCC RT Adv version v15 which is same in both station. I have also verified "StartCenter" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\Automation\WinCC RT Advanced directory. Any suggestion to rectify this error Thanks

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/16/2025 Posts: 16436 Rating: (1935)	Hello Dada@1 check also in the HMI Project which IMage Version you have set. you can use different Image Version from TIA Portal Version. you have to use the same for Runtime as set in the TIA Portal as Image Version. Check also with at new project if this runs. If you cannot simulate and if you have insalled parallel TIA V17 Version then do a Repair installation of the TIA V17! Bye Murof
