I'm making a positioning Axis with a reluctance motor.

In the commissioning of the drive the motor can be moved at 50Hz

After setting up the technology object with the drive and the encoder via the telegram81

During commissioning test and setting up the positioning the moved distance is within 1mm at 3000mm but the speed will not go higher than 15Hz.

The error on the monitoring is “Programmed velocity is limited”

Can any one help me why this is happening.

The motor/drive is set at 1500 rpm
15hz is 20mm/s

the maximum is set to 70mm/s

You should be able to see all the settings.

According to my calculations the velocity limit is 63 mm/sec. I.e. at this setpoint motor achieve 1500 rpm which is its maximum speed as I can see.

To run faster you should allow for higher motor rpms in a drive.

This I understand,

The problem is that if I set the axis at 70mm/s or 60mm/s or 40mm/s or 22mm/s the axis will not turn/move faster than 20mm/s (see page 3 on the screen shots).

but when I do the comisioning on the drive (see page 10 on the screen shots) the drive will go up to 1500rpm.

Hi there,

the message you get is purely that the velocity you have given the TO to move with (either at the MC-command or within the control panel of the TO) is larger than the velocity you configured as the velocity limit.

All the rest (mechanics, drive parameters in the TO, etc.) is not of any importance for this message.

What is tricky at this point:
Your screenshots show the TO's parameter list. There you can see "Maximum velocity (dynamic limits)", but this is larger than the value you experience to be the limit.
But there is another velocity limit, that is not shown in the parameter list and not in the configuration view of the TO. To see this parameter, you need to open the technology object as DB (right-click on the TO -> Open as DB), then search for Base.Static.DynamicLimits.Velocity. Check the value of this parameter.
Important: Check the value of this parameter online on the PLC! So open the TO as DB, search for this parameter, then switch the editor to online view.

Very likely this value is set to what you experience to be the limit, and is not on its default value (1000000000000.0) anymore. If this is the case, then I'm sorry to say, but this means YOU have changed it, either in the DB-view manually or via your user program.
