Refer to chapter 6.6 of themanualabout load and shunt resistors for armature/field curcuits, which may be removed for reducing rated converter armature/field currents. Also don't forget to reduce this currents in parameters P072, P073, as described in chapter 7.5.

vikas prakash singh Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	dear sir, thankyou for your kind reply remove shunt resistor (R171,R172,R173,R174,R177) to reduce the field current 5 Amp ,i have make drive to factory default and reduce the armature current and filed current but fault F005 is still ocuuring . Going through the manual 6.6 Load and shunt resistor there is table for 850 amp on page no 6/20 .There is colum for Load resistor load resitor A1601 ,1603 , in my drive card A1603,A1602,1600 is present and on card 1603-L only R7.74,R7.75,R7.73 all resitor value is 330 ohm ,please do advice how i have to adjust these resisitor for to test run of this 850 amp Drive to 65 amp drive. with regards Vikas Prakash Singh

The motor data submitted is as follows. vikas prakash singh dear Sir, for testing of drive i have a dc motor with following specification .fileld voltage :310 Voltfield current 2.8 ampfiled circuit resistance : 76.7 Ohmplease advic on this sir . with regards Vikas Prakash Singh With the above data, assuming field voltage & current values are from motor nameplate then the field winding resistance work outs to be 110 ohm. Please check this. Or if field voltage & field resistance values are considered then, field current works out to be 4 Amp. PLEASE CHECK & CONFIRM THE CORRECT VALUES. Motor nameplate values must be refereed. Please check whether any external resistor is connected in field winding series. Therotically field voltage, current & winding resistance values must match.Hope this helps.

SAYCOOO Posts: 48 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, we have simoreg Drive 6RA7091-6DS22-0-Z when run the drive display Fault F005 which means Field fault. We check the AC input to the drive (400V ok). We check the output from the field circuit to the motor ok(345Vdc). we check the field current is ok (rated value). we replaced the field card (C98043-A7004) by new one so the problem solved and no fault appear. in this case do you think that problem in the field card or any parameters should change in the old field card??

Hello. I think the problem may be in measuring of field supply voltage, DC field voltage or actual field current, i.e. the problem is in card.

Randc Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	heloo, i am the user of DC Simoreg 6RA70-6DV62 1200 A. i have some problems with F005 too. after 3 years it's normally worked, but yesterday my DC Drive had fault exactly Fault 005. when i look at r0047.001, the fault value is 3. can you help me with this fault? i'll try to change P0082 from 1 to 3. and i measure the field current, it's 9.8 A, but my setting in P102 is 7.8 A. why it's change too? it's have related with the fault? for the info, i use field weakening in this drive. someone,help me.. best regard, Randc

Did you check the reason of fault F005 value 3: Delay time according to P089 elapsed in state o5.0 Wait until IField act (K0265) > 50% of the instantaneous field current setpoint K0268 [as of SW 1.9, can be altered bymeans of P396] and until "I Field extern > I f min" (see P265).

If not, your field control/supply card were failed in out put sensing parts but SCR may be in good condition. When you got 9.8A by measured, it means the current is in un-control condition (SCR fired) which aganist the value in P102. We had been seen a few times in same condition and after replaced the field supply card, all are OK. Hope you can get too. Rgds

Rgds thx u for u suggest, sir Rgds. you are right, my field supply card is not normal again, it's can't give the actual same with the set point (P102). but now i can use this card, i just reduce my set point (P102) until it's 7.8 A. and reduce (P103) I field min. and it's works. now my drive can work again. until now, it's no bad effect to the other act. value (armature, or the others) just info, my motor use field weakening and it's work too. only one thing that makes me curious, what makes the field current card not in the normal condition again? because of the resistor, or the capacitor in the card? maybe someone can tell me why it's happened? best regards, Randc

This may happened depend on all the field circuit loop including motor field winding. We had changed field card for twice and same condition come back about 2 years long. But our case , totally failed in the card and always gave F005. In some case, we also found this fault without failure anything, we had passed by adjusting the field current monitoring setting or use standstill field according to our requirement as followed the manual.
