Some parameters can not be overwriten when download from Drive Monitor

MinhMM Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I replace an old Simovert VC by a new one. When I download the parameters from Drive Monitor, somes parameters can not overwriten. in212576 Posts: 56 Rating: (7)	Dear MinHMM, While downloading the old parameter in new CUVC ,firstly u have take access of the card change P060 : 7 upload / Free access & then download the backup. Otherwise it give such type of error message. Hope this is inline with your query.. Regards, Shank

Have you got firmware mismatch errorat startofdownloading? I checked and found some of them are communication related parameters. They may not be much importance as per your application but you can make list and compare offline and online values after downloading completed which version of drive monitor you are using? and what is drive firmware version? Download latest version of Drive Monitor from here Regards Devesh Vithani

When you finished downloading, then you can find if any parameters can't be written. Mostly the protected parameters are for drive safety, imagine overwriting the rated current limit for the drive with a value 5 times bigger. Others are simply comms settings like Devesh stated. RobboC Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Yes, I have also seen this before, I don't think its a problem. I have downloaded old VC parametersto a new VC card (higher firmware)and afterwards you get a whole heap of errors (most of the parameters don't exist anymore etc)

seaf_khalid Posts: 27 Rating: (1)	when replac the old CUVC with new one you must first adjust some parameter from PMU then use drive montior to download the parameter: CUVC: - From the PMU screen we do the below: o Change P070 by doing the below: § P060 = 8 § P070 = value from the old parameter list we had. § P060 = 1 o Change P918 by doing the below: § P060 = 4 or 5 § P918 = Value from the old parameter list we had. § P060 = 1 o Using the laptop and "Drive monitor" we connect to the drive and download the parameter backup file we have.
