In my case, when I go to install this software it says me:

Uninstall first: hmi-panel-images-updater_1.1.0.0_x64__0jg79kkxrsmfj

How Could I uninstall this package?

SOLVED:

Open Win+X >> Shell Administrator and:

Remove-AppxPackage hmi-panel-images-updater_1.1.0.0_x64__0jg79kkxrsmfj

NOTE:

Pay attention HMI Panel Image Updater  version V 1.1.0.0

I installed HMI Panel Image Updater (HMI_PIU_Installer_1.1.0.0) but when i try to login i have the error: "Error occurred. Plese try again".

Tried many times and on two computers, i have the same problem.

Email and password are correct, if i click on button "GO to SIOS" and make the login all is OK.

I think this app is really poorly made

Recently I was facing the same problem with HMI PIU tool, so I headed back to the panel images page to download the full package.

Suprisingly I noticed that Siemens finally released a ZIP version of the V16/V17 for Comfort / Mobile / Basic Panels.

Here is the link to the main page :

From this page you can find the full archives of all images and if you scroll down to 1.2 Offline installation of Panel Images V17/V16 recommended for update you can find the link for a ZIP version of the V16/V17 panel images, as long as a helpful readme for the installation.

Notice that Comfort/Mobile/Basic panels images are no longer being updated (as for today) and the latest available image is V17 Upd8 even for TIA V18 and all subsequent versions.

I hope this helps. This has solved my problem with HMI PIU Tool and login problems.

 This helped me also.Until i found this it was an odyssey. Thanks to simon. The HMI Installer is still not working, i wonder if they even try to fix this issue.

A few days ago the HMI Panel Image Updater (PIU) V2.0 was released. It is available in the Image Download entry. Due to it's changed login procedure the login problems should be solved now.
