Get object property inside Faceplate with VBS WinCC Advanced

ThaKibosh Bronze Member Joined: 5/31/2011 Last visit: 8/6/2024 Posts: 190 Rating: (31)	Hey all, In the normal scripting you have the instruction Object = HMIRuntime.Screens("screen_1").ScreenItems("Txt_Field_1") Now I want to use this inside a faceplate. So inside that faceplate I have a text field. I want get the text inserted in that field with VBS. The text is linked to a property for outside the faceplate. Is this possible?

TagLink = String for assembling complete tag to link VBS: TagName = SmartTags("TagLink") SmartTags("Popup\Motors\Motor_Stat") = SmartTags("Motors\DB_Motors." & TagName & ".Stat") Hope this helps, Be aware: reading tags from a script does not update these tags, you'll have to set them to "continous update" which is not good when you have a lot.

I want to access the properties of an object inside of the faceplate, by means of a VBscript. So that I can (for example:) change the height/width of a rectangle during runtime. AND... sadly enough... as far as I know, that isn't possible So it's similar to the issue that you're experiencing, but there doesn't seem to be a solution. Kr, Jens
