Manually Changing Analog Output Value with cursor keys

jwday1 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello.... I am new to the Logo world as I have only programmed S7-200/300/400 PLC's. We have an application that we need to change a setpoint for a pressure controller via the TD display. The pressure controller can take an analog input from any analog output module. Is this even possible with the Logo? We were thinking of using one of the cursor keys to increment the analog value coming from the analog output module and another cursor key to decrement the analog value coming out of the analog module. The best way to do this would just be the up/down cursor keys. I can't see any way that this can be done with the logic software. Does anyone know how? Has anyone done this yet? Very interested in learning how. I hope someone has an answer and maybe even an example program. Thanks

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, you can do this but to change a value via cursor keys requires to press additional the ESC key and this is normaly no what is expected. It's better to use the F-Keys of the LOGO! TD. Here an example which includes both: I hope this helps Attachment PI via TD F-keys.zip (1066 Downloads)

jwday1 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thank you very much for the example. My problem now is understanding the relationship between AM flags and and actual output values of the Analog Output module. I was hoping that I could press a function key and hold it while the value increments or decrements an analog value continuously. This example requires to push the function to pressed over and over to change values. How is the AM flag value transfered to the actual Analog output? I'm a bit confused how this works in the logic. Also..is there a way I can display the values of AQ1 and AQ2 on the text display? Thank you

Betel Platinum Member Joined: 1/5/2007 Last visit: 4/7/2023 Posts: 1690 Rating: (580)	Hi, look at my solution of a comfort version of key inputs: Cursor key can only used as sort puls inputs, external key can usedas long holded key inputs and so the circuit can workas auto pulser if external key is on a longer time. The input range can set by parameters and over the mux and the amplifivers the input values can scaled od translated... For your application to output a range from 0 to 1000 (for analog output modul) this can used to define Gain = 10 and so you must not input 1000 steps - then the input range is 100 steps for the hole range 0..1000.... The cirkuit at the attachment isbuilded as a complete circuit and can reduced.... I don´t know if the Fi-key can hold and then the program get a longer puls or if the Fi-kes only put a short puls to the circuit - please test it.
