hardware Requierment FOR WINCC REDUNDANCY

Do I need a card CP ? as information , i use a CPU 1516 and TIA PORTAL V17 : WINCC PROFESSIONAL THX

Troubleshoot_er Bronze Member Joined: 7/2/2015 Last visit: 8/25/2025 Posts: 96 Rating: (23)	Hi nesrine.tn, You can check the example "Redundancy in WinCC V7.x and WinCC Professional". There you can find the chapter "2.3 Requirements for Redundant Systems" that can clarify you a little bit. Furthermore is recommended to have a CP or IE card for the following elements: 1st CP/ IE card for redundancy bus (only each server WinCC PC is connected to that network) 2nd CP/ IE card for terminal bus (every client must connect on this network) 3rd CP/IE card for fiel bus (on this network you connect PLCs, Periphery, Drives... every field element)
