Hello Andrea,

you have to do some handicraft to show only on of the System Alarms.

Create your own MySystemAlarm as Discrete Alarm, classify it and trigger it by the original System Alarm. Then you can show only this one alarm in an Alarm View by using its Alarm Class.

What's the best way to trigger the digital alarm using a system alarm?

adding an event to the system alarm is possible but limited to single boolean tags.

Would you use get_AlarmState in the PLC?

Or is there any other options?

In my case I'm looking to pick and choose maybe 10-20 relevant system alarms while hiding the rest, add acknowledgement, and show in the active alarm page

In my case, some system events are critical and should pause the process in the PLC and display on the active alarm list of the HMI while the system event remains active.

Unfortunately system events are only set as outgoing messages and locked to a static class. I thought if there was a reliable way to trigger a digital alarm from a system event or to somehow read system parameters I may be able to use them.

Otherwise I'll create custom scripts to check for these scenarios myself.

Few examples of critical system alarms I need to address.:

- Loss of Time Synchronization Server (1012012+1012013)

- Loss of Back-up Connection for Logging Tags (1012224+1012225)

I am looking for a way to select which system alarms to show in the alarm list.

This thread seems to fit my thoughts but the thread is now more than one year old.

@Grantek-TCB: Could you share your "final" solution?
