Hi guys,

So there's an S7-300 PLC connected to KTP1000 Basic DP HMI. PLC was programmed with simatic manager and HMI with wincc flexible 2008. Now we are going to replace this HMI with the same model but this new one is designed on wincc tia portal. Can i just simply download the wincc tia portal project into the new HMI and it will work? Do i need to take care of anything else like connections? How to tell the HMI to talk to the PLC which is programmed on simatic manager as i've always only worked on TIA portal integrated projects in which the PLC and HMI are in the same project.
