Hi all,

The individual bits in that alarm word will trigger the messages.

I created the 10 alarm text for the one alarm tag in HMI alarms.

For eg. 0 - alarm text1

1 - alarm text2

2 - alarm text3 etc..,

In runtime, alarm tag shows the value as 0 - Alarm window displays the text as alarm text1

value as 1 - Displays the text upto 1 (i.e., both 0 and 1 text are display)

value as 2 - Displays the text upto 2 (i.e., 0, 1, 2 are displays)

But I need the text for corresponding value alone.

Like 0 - alarm text1 alone, 1 - alarm text2 alone, 2 - alarm text3.

I am having difficulty understanding your use case. Some pictures inside a ZIP file can be helpful. You also make no mention of which hardware and software you are using. Saying if you have authorization to change the PLC program -- is helpful also.

The question looks like an HMI question but is published under the S7-1200 header?

For the moment assume that the alarm word is called "AlarmMessages" and that it occupies %MW20. There are up to 16 alarm messages that can be displayed for the memory word. Each bit inside the word activates its own message. More than one message can be activated

For the S7-1200 and S7-1500:
+ When "AlarmMessages".%X0 = TRUE then message #1 is added
.....
+ When "AlarmMessages".%X10 = TRUE then message #10 is added

The standard working of the HMI Alarms cannot be changed. But the "AlarmMessages" could be reprocessed by the PLC to deliver the wanted result. The PLC could for example process the original word to another word where only 1 bit in the word is TRUE.

Another scenario is where the "alarm" is an integer (a number). Assume that "MessageNr" is 0 when no alarms are active, but is a number from 1 to 10 to activate message #1 to message #10. The PLC can process the INT value into a WORD where only one bit is on. 

Alternatively the text list function could be used.
