I am using TP900 Comfort Panel and HMI connected some energy analyzer via Modbus RTU. I am getting values from energy analyzer without problem but i need to scale some values something below

the original value  Current L1 :1234 

scaled value Current L1 123.4 A 

I need to make a scale like that without losing digits for show HMI screen and logging. I tried Linear scaling value from tag properties but it makes like below

original value  Current L1 :1234

scaled value Current L1 123 A

how can i scale value without losing digits? I tried using the script also but it has minimum trigger just 1 min. and that's too long for our customer. 

Can you give me any solutions?

Scaling should work without a problem. 

Try to use values 10 and 1 instead of 1 and 0.1

EDIT: I have always used values 100 and 10. Never really thought about it, since i always have scaled to one decimal and it works, but maybe it affects scaling.

Hi calyon111,

the scaling has no influence on the data type. This means that an integer value remains an integer value and as such it offers no decimal places.

The solution is depending on your requirements.

• On other option will be to convert the value inside PLC to Real. In this case, the scalded result will come with decimal places.
