Reading Analog Tag Values

Jimmy Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a screen with about 80 IO fields on it. When I run the Wincc program, the IO Fields keep on blinking on and off (every second ) indicating that there is no connection. I am connected to the PLC through TCP/IP. The connection was created by the Tag Server automatically. Help is greatly appreciated, thanks. What could the problem be? Regards Jim

If youhave 1 bit/byte tag ona DB (usually at the end of DB)that only exists in the offline project but was never downloaded into the PLC,WinCC will abort the entire DB packettags because of the optimisation(block read). So make sure thatALL tags are valide (Use Monitor/Modify Variablein STEP7) Dec

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	I agree with Dec! Check the DB sizes on your PLC, cause WinCC might be accessing a non-declared area of the memory! I think that's most likely the problem. If not, it might show on the diagnose! Best regards! Danielle
