Lotrzyk Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have the same issue as the author of this post. I need to change IP address both PLC and HMI. And also same as him I can change PLC IP via TIA Portal, and HMI directly from HMI Control panel settings. Unfortunately, the communication is not established, I don't know where to "tell" HMI which IP is target PLC. I have tried @Amol V guide, but for me it doesn't work. In advanced options I have HMI IP address, mask, but gateway address was blank. Also adding there PLC's IP doesn't help. What am I missing? ElonksuM Experienced Expert Joined: 5/6/2022 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 589 Rating: (123)	Hi Lotrzyk, If you have changed the IP both in the PLC and directly in the HMI, you will have to change in your project the IP that is configured in the HMI connection indicating the new IP of the PLC so that in this way they can communicate. When I go to Project -> Devices & networks I can see my PLC and HMI as following: So there I can manage HMI's IP address. But I don't know where to indicate PLC's IP. There is a setting "Port interconnection": I can change "Partner port" as it is now in the picture, but there is no PLC's IP. Am I looking at appropriate setting? If this is already there, then check in section connection of the HMI project if the correct IP address of the PLC is entered there. Regards, Frink

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 16644 Rating: (1944)	hello Lotrzyk You are using a KTP600 Basic-> Basic Panel 1st Generation If you change the IP address of the PLC and the HMI online then you would also have to change the HMI connection to this new IP. In Panels with a newer Image Version (V13 or newer) you can do this on the HMI directly. For example here for Basic Panels 2nd Gen (for Comfort Panel the same functionality): LINK But in Case of Basic PAnels 1st Gen you have to do this changes in TIA project as already mentioned and then you have to load the HMI again.
