The graph FB are not multiple instance capability.

 What you can do is in the calling environment of the SFC FB (let's call the Sfc FB MySfcFb and the calling environment MySfcEnvironment): you declare an IO variable of the type MySfcFb in MySfcEnvironment. You can use that when you call MySfcFb, and as IO of MySfcEnvironment you can now link that to a DB of the type MySfcFb. Hope this helps.

Hello all,

In my programs I would also really like to be able to use Graphs as multi instance because it would help keep the code organized.

Like you, I can't create this blocks as multinstance and I have to do it as parameter instance.

However, I found the following workaround that is probably a bug and maybe should not be used.

Let's say you want to call:

Main

           MyFBModule1

                    FB1 <------graph

                    Valve

                    Motor

                   etc...

1-Create an FB in SCL/LAD with name example "FB1"

2-Create your desired FB in GRAPH with name "FB1_GRAPH"

(Add some static dummies to not get compile errors)

3-Insert in calling MyFBModule1 a multi instance FB1 & compile.

4-Delete FB1 and rename FB1_GRAPH TO FB1

5-Update interface and block call.

6-Now you have it compilable and without errors. However, you can't online monitor this.

Disclaimer: Note that I do not know if this is a TIA bug and if it should be used.  

Can anyone shed some light on this?
