I'm trying to use know-how protected Berger Laghr Function Blocks. These FB's were created in Simatic Manager SCL and compiled into STL. 

Using an S7-300 PLC, the files are migrated from Simatic Manager to TIA Portal V18. The FB's are still protected but can be used in order to control the motor.

Now i want to use these FB's in a S7-1500 CPU project, but an error appears (see image):

"Block (...)  is not supported by the CPU or library version you are using".

I find this weird because both the S7-300 and S7-1500 PLC's support both SCL and STL?

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Not much for the forum to help here, in my view. Since it is know-how protected, the software cannot compile & verify the code. Consider searching the forum for similar issues where know-hoe code cannot be compiled. Else contact Siemens through the Support Request link.

We might have a chance if the files were in text exports.

Are there any of the motion control blocks offered in the S7-1500 toolbox that could do the same job?

Unless you have access to the actual SCL source, you may need to consider other options - similar to what was suggested in the above prior reply.

I will search for the forum for the things you suggested.

But I still find it weird that the S7-300 PLC does not have any problems using the protected FB's, whereas the S7-1500 suddenly does. => I will also create a "Support Request".

What do you mean by "files in text exports"?

Because there is a (now successfully tested) workaround in order to read the protected files in Simatic Manager. The workaround does not work once the project is migrated. For me it is very difficult to to re-use (copy-paste) and then fix the compiled code into TIA-Portal (among other things because of pointer vs symbolic access of DB's I think => see latest comment on this post: How can convert scl program that has been written ın Step7 to TIA? - 225862 - Industry Support Siemens).

Is the access to the compiled STL code of any use?

I will search in the S7-1500 toolbox, but I'm afraid that because of the old age of the GSD file (2007), the motion control blocks won't successfully interact with the GSD (I'll test it anyway tho).

The source files from SCL are surely nowhere to be found.
