I have a user view with several users configured but I have one which I didn't enter and I don't know where it came from. The user name is PLCUser and there is a password (which I didn't enter either). The group is "Unauthorised" and you guessed it ... I didn't enter that either.

I can't select the name to delete it, in fact I can't select anything on the line except the log off time, which I can edit.

My question is - where did it come from and how do I get rid of it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to say that the entry "PLCUser" only appears at runtime. If you open user administration in the project tree it is not listed under users (or anywhere else).

Solution (sort of) ....... I finally found something relating to this problem. The comment I read referred specifically to WinCC Flex but it evidently also applies to WinCC RT Advance. It seems that the PLC User account is automatically generated by the system, along with the administrator and user accounts. Unlike those two accounts however, it is not visible in the project menu - only at runtime, you can't delete it, you can't rename it, you can't change the password so you can't use it. But for some inexplicable reason you can change the timeout!
I guess the only real solution has to be ....... pretend it's not there.

the PLCUser is a default User which exists on every Runtime.

you also cannot delete it.

Its made for the work with the Area Pointer "Job Mailbox" -> here you can login a User in a specific User Level or UserGroup Number.

If you do so then the Default user PLCUser is used for this action.

Its only made for this kind of action and you cannot use an own user for the Area Pointer Function.
