I'm getting the following error when installing TIA portal V17:
The full log is attached. Before installing TIA portal V17, I uninstalled V16. I think the installation may have left some residual files that prevent proper installation of V17. The error indicates that the account that runs the SQL server setup (my user account?) does not have sufficient permissions. I cannot trivally enable these permissions, due to company policy. However, TIA portal V16 installed without issue, but I'm not sure if it requires these same permissions. Is there some way to check whether TIA portal V16 is removed completely? Perhaps I can manually do some steps to overcome this issue. Or is there a way to install TIA portal without the SQL server, or install the server mannually? Hi LucanTNO, When you uninstall TIA Portal, SQL instance is retained, therefore you should uninstall it manually in order to be able to install successfully a newer version. I suggest you to check following FAQ wher you can find more information about how to overcome this issue. Hope it helps. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109745000 Br, Cocolino |
