There Exampe 2 (Copy structured data from one data block to another each with a different PLC data type) shows a description to create your own Copy-FB by use of Serialize and Deserialize. That may help in your case.

Hello everyone! I am a newbie. I would like to seek your assistance on how to get rid of the error code at the RET_VAL. The document says that I should use a UDT, I tried but still no good. I would like to move the data from  P#DB11.DBX16.0 to P#DB11.DBX20.0.

Or, any solution will do if MOVE_BLK_VARIANT is not applicable on this one. I am using S7-1200 PLC.

 P#DB11.DBX16.0 has no size indication. That is needed if you are using the ANY pointer style in the MOVE_BLK_VARIANT instruction. This way the block is handed as if an array.

The POKE_BLK instruction in SCL could have been used instead. The method you are following is a hack. There is no guarantee that it will continue working for all versions of Step7 / S7-1200.

With the data types the same UDT instead of STRUCT..
A normal MOVE would have worked.
