How to open v14 project with Tia portal v16?

itafusna Gold Member Joined: 2/17/2020 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 1251 Rating: (237)	Hi, The program upload from the CPU to the PC should be done with TIA V14 then, as shown in this FAQ: What options are available in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) for uploading when the project version in the CPU no longer matches the version on your PG/PC? TIA V14 SP1 trial installation can be found here: SIMATIC STEP 7 including PLCSIM V14 SP1 TRIAL download Then, you should be able to upgrade the program version to V16, just by opening it.
