I can get 6ES7 215-1BG40-0XB0 to work with newest version of firmware 4.6.1 after update it wont work in any project. The original firmware on device is 4.4.1 but I can only get full combability of low level components when I choose version 4.1 in online project I use tia 18 pro on windows 11.

What FS 12 printed on device mean? 

The "FS" you refer to is a red herring; it is a ghost you are chasing. We know nothing about the devices that you have in your project. Perhaps give some more information. Screen captures added into a ZIP file would be most welcome too.

..may we assume that the hardware has been powered off and back on after you loaded the hardware configuration?

This is the photo of this s7 I tried every possible configuration I can and did upgrade device to newest 4.6.1 version but in Tia Project I can Only choose version 4.1 for it to work I tried now in windows 10 it is the same. The weirdest is that that original version of firmware should be 4.4 as on the box...

The pictures you have given does not drive the topic forward. We have no reason to doubt the description of the PLC that you have given in the original problem statement.

To take advantage of the V4.6 of the S7-1200 requires the use of Step7 V18. Which version of Step7 are you using?

Please explain or demonstrate the below extract quote. Which "low level" components are a problem? Which parts are used? Check also each part for version numbers (some can be changed).

No problem Thank you for help got this device from Ebay so not sure if I am eligible for Siemens support :( I was also a bargain that's why I think it might be broken on other hand I only used Logo before so I know pretty much nothing S7 and Tia is just so much more complex

Contact Siemens. The worst that can happen is they say 'no' or they say 'pay for service'. I do not expect any issues for you.

In the project tree is a part that says ONLINE ACCESS. There is listed your pc's Ethernet hardware. It is possible to link to the PLC and check the vital statistics. Best to check what firmware the PLC thinks it has. Somehow I think the firmware upgrade did not go smoothly and it defaulted backwards.

Last thing.. whatever firmware version you use in the project, will be the firmware functionality that the PLC takes on. Using V4.1 firmware in the project is not a problem. The PLC will function as a V4.1 even if the actual firmware is V4.6. The software will warn of the mismatch, but it will be possible to ignore the mismatch safely.
