Hi there,

I have a problem with configuration of HMI with S7-1214FC. I use Tia Portal v17 and WinCC Prof v17 for simulation. I get no hardware errors while compiling but HMI (KTP1000 Basic color PN) neither reads nor writes values I give it.

I've so far established the HMI connection, attached HMI to the PN subnet and assigned IP addresses accordingly, checked that my control unit is able to connect to up to 12 HMIs, toggled PUT/GET permit as well as disabled protection for PLC.
The device has the same name as the profinet name.
HMI connection is configured in S7ONLINE and so is all the interfaces in my Windows 10 Set PG/PC settings

I get the following error while trying to use buttons assigned to declared variables (bytes in DB): $190011: value could not be written to the PLC during simulating PLC/HMI within winCC RT

Whenever I run the simulation it also gives:
$140001: connection disconnected
$110001: Change to operating mode 'online'

Few points to keep in mind in this case:

- If both PLC and HMI are simulated, does the communication between them work?

- Is it a direct connection or does it go through some intermediate element, such as a router? Have you tried other PN/DP cables?

- Do the date and time configured in the PLC and HMI match? Please see:

- In the PLC tag table, do the tags that are shared with the HMI have the "Accessible from HMI/OPC" and "Writable from HMI/OPC" checks marked?
