Knowing only a portion of the diagnostic buffer without other details, such as the PLC firmware version, makes it difficult to provide a proper response. What the screenshot shows is that the CPU goes into DEFECTIVE mode. The system code shown can be caused by several conditions, corrections have been made with the firmware versions: V2.8.3, V2.6.0 and V2.1.0. So it might help to do what the message says and install the latest firmware.

Changing the CPU for this case is diagnostically helpful. But there is no guarantee that your problem is solved.

My opinion is that the chances are slim. It is possible that there is a combination of tasks (instructions) that causes this problem to come up. Using the same project may still give the same result. Do you have a easy way to test it?

Try to rebuild and compile; hardware and software. There are some issues of the past that was resolved in this way. The next would be to start cutting out code to try and zoom in on the root cause. This will take time to do if you are on your own.

Consider working in parallel. Make a message to Siemens so they can respond while you are doing things in the background.

If you search these forums (after submitting a Support Request to Siemens) for "S7-1500 serious firmware exception" using the "Search in Online Support" box - on the same line as the "Support Request" link you used to submit your request to Siemens for (free) support.. you may find you are not alone and that there are known manufacturing problems with a small subset of s7-1500 PLCs.  If you have one of them, Siemens can help resolve it.  If it is a PLC firmware problem, the latest firmware should have resolved it.
