Hi

We have a small office with a few laptops connected to an 8-port switch and TIA Portal V15 are running in all of them.

I want to make a multi user project in one laptop and all other users could be able to work on the project simultaneously. 

I want to know is this possible and if yes how?

Hello,

yes this should be possible.

On the one laptop install the MultiUser Server and install the licence.

On the Other install TIA with the MultiUser and the licences.

Now start TIA on one of the TIA Laptops.

switch to projectview an the Option -> settings 

here under Multiuser configure the connection to the Multiuser server

Now yxou can create a new project, create the HWConfig.

save the project and select Project -> Multiuser

now select here the configured Server and click on Add project to server

select the prconfigured project and load it to the server.

Now you can connect the other system to the server and work with the project.

I have tried these steps but whenever I try to connect from one of the clients it returns error like as the picture.

Actually I don't know the configuration for server and user administrator and also the configuration for clients.

can you pink the Servername from the clients?
Are the user logins from the client the same like the serrver?

The LAN works fine I can ping all computers. my network is not a windows domain network.

all the computers are local admins and everything else like VNC and file transfer is ok but multiuser no.

Also I can not find a good manual or video about this for TIA V15.
