Import of a Technical Question of an User ceilingwalker wrote: Good afternoon, I'am brand new to Siemens PLC's. I have an S7-200 that I was given to manage our plant evacuation alarm system. It has a 226 CPU and I have Step7 V.4 (I believe it is). Very simple, we have panic switches throughout the plant, HF and Hydrogen sensors that all trigger the alarm system. I have all of the ladder written, however, I have a reset button on the front of the control cabinet panel and I can't figure out how to incorporate this into the system so that it will reset the alarms, strobes, once given an all-clear. My outputs are to the horns, strobes, and indicator lamps on the panel that identify which switch was pushed. When I move the PLC switch to "stop", it turns off the outputs, then I return the input simulator board switch to its original position, return PLC to "run", then we're back in business. I just need some ideas, please, about how to configure my system so that this reset push button will turn off alarms, strobes, etc... , without having to switch PLC from run, to stop, then back to run again. I can't use a timer or counter because this system needs to stay on until it is physically told to reset, at the control cabinet. All of my panic buttons are normally closed, andmomentary. Thank you sincerely for your help. |
