DP Diagnostics Issue

Wave Experienced Member Joined: 4/23/2007 Last visit: 12/30/2024 Posts: 58 Rating: (3)	I am using a SICK Laser transducer (DME5000) which has GSD file "sick069d.gsd" (attached). The module is constantly giving a diagnostic message "Module OK" (every 10ms) which is filling up the buffer and due to this I am not able to trace any other DP slave errors. I also checked out the GSD file as I thought the message is being defined in the GSD file but I could'nt find that message. I want to eliminate this message as it is sheer folly to have a message for healthy situations. - Wave Attachment sick069d.zip (346 Downloads)

I could'nt find any extended diagnostics in the CPU parameters either. - Wave

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, The setting has nothing to do with CP or CPU. It is a setting of the device itself. You have to select the device in HWConfig and that go to the parameters of the device (and not to the properies of the CPU). You should see a lot of parameters (corresponding to the parameters described in the GSD). As far as I remember, the firstparameter is called "extended diagnostic". I saw it in the manual of the device.
