Aristotelis Posts: 147 Rating: (34)	Hi Sarsa there are a lot of ways to communicate a PLC & Inverter. IMO, the simplest two when using only S7-200 are: 1) By sending analog signal from the PLC to the inverter (that is from the analog output of the PLC to the analog input of the Inverter) and... 2) Using USS network (that is essentially a RS-485 protocol so you can have up to 32 Inverters in a single network) So, take a look at your inverter's specifications and what kind of equipment you have at your disposal, and decide how you want to implement the speed control. I found using USS very convenient and cost effective, and it comes with a complete library for S7-200/1200 CPUs. Hope this helps Aristotelis
