Problem installing SP2

agr_ingenieria Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello. Last Friday I've just purchased Step7 Basic 10.5 SP1 and got installed it in my computer. I've tested it and Iprogrammed an easy program and downloaded it to the PLC and it's running fine. This morningI've downloaded Step7 Basic 10.5 SP2 and when I tried to install it (in the same computer, of course) this message has appeared: "SP2 for STEP 7 Basic V10.5 requires STEP 7 Basic V10.5 as installation requirement. System is unable to locate this version on the computer.". Does anyone know what could be happening? Thanks in advance.

I've just repaired my Step7 Basic 10.5 (it took nearly one hour because same kind of misfunction happened with the SQL repair/installation which finally didn't work) and retried again with the SP2. Don't work, the same message. Now I'm going to uninstall anything related with WinCC Flexible 2007, including SQL(it was installed on my computer and I uninstalled it but not the SQL before installing Step 7 Basic 10.5) and try again. Keep you informed. Best regards.

Everything is working fine.When I uninstalled WinCC flexible 2007 I did it from Panel Control, not using the installation CD,so perhaps this was the cause because I guess the uninstallation from the CD would haveremoved the SQL too. Hope to be usefull for somebody else. Bye.
