Hello Elbendary; The S7-200 is not easily transformed into a master for remote I/O, even As-i in your case would be a problem beacause of the distance you mention (you would need a repeater over 100m). You have to consider the cost of the whole system. Adding As-i interface electronics to all your I/O, on top of the As-i master in the S7-200 and the required repeater. not including the As-i addressing interface, would cost a lot more than simply purchasing a CPU 224 and a EM 231, which would be connected directly to your (now) local I/O. Then you could follow Tip 27 from the S7-200 tips and Tricks and connect the CPUs in a remote I/O network with little problem: https://www.sea.siemens.com/us/Products/Automation/Micro-Automation/support/Tips_and_Tricks/S7-200/Pages/S7-200-Tip-27.aspx Just my $0.02. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
